Charlene and family- We did not know Bill as well as most people at Church, but we loved him because he was the real thing . I don't think Bill ever met a person who didn't become a friend almost immediately. Our prayers go out to you all in the loss of both your husband and son in such a short time. LOVE --

Blessed to have had you in our lives. ❤️ He prayed for us and helped us both through many storms. But best of all, he was there when the clouds passed and the sun emerged again. We worked together, bowled together and we were very blessed to have him marry us. Rest in peace, our dear friend. Our deepest condolences to all who will miss you. Love to you all!

Through the years at work, Bill was always there for me, as a young man lifting weights with him in his home (He was STRONG!), and later in life Bill was always there for me with a prayer and encouragement. In many ways, he was North American’s “chaplain” and many others in our company and our family drew strength from Bill’s example and his spirit. Bill, no doubt was filled with The Holy Spirit. I didn’t know it at the time, but he gained his wisdom from the Word which he studied daily. Bill was definitely one of my “mat carriers” - helping lead me to Jesus. Although we grew apart after he left the company, he left a positive impact on my heart and I know he is now smiling upon us all from heaven!

Brother Bill, when I first came to Mt Moriah Baptist Church you were the first person who greeted me. You just oozed Jesus Christ out of every pour of your body. When you talk of our Lord your eyes would dance an light up with such joy! You will always hold a special place in my heart. I’ll remember what courage you showed us all and how you never gave up on Jesus. This a amazing day for you as you look upon the face of Jesus. And a sad day for those left behind without you. I met Bill one time but it will forever be a special moment for me. He prayed with my Grandfather Bell the salvation prayer and was able to reassure me my Grandfather knew Jesus as his Lord and Savior! What an answer to many prayers and Bill was there to be used of the Lord. I will forever be grateful to this wonderful man. Well done good and faithful servant!
