William C. "Billy" Pace

October 16, 1939 - November 4, 2018

William C. (Billy) Pace,79 of Flat Rock, passed away Sunday evening, November 4, 2018 after an extended illness at the Elizabeth House. Billy was born October 16, 1939 in Saluda, where he grew up and attended Mountain Page Baptist Church.

He leaves behind two loving daughters to cherish his memories, Tammy Kuykendall, husband Don of Hendersonville; Tonya English and husband David of Flat Rock; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Medena Mecum of Winston Salem.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Wonda Madge Pace; parents, Mr. Leroy Pace and Mrs. Maude Yount of Saluda; brothers, Raymond Pace, Glenn Pace and McCree Pace; sisters, Lois Case, Doris Staton, Betty Jo Worley and Irene Pace.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00pm Friday, November 9, 2018 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 538 Tracy Grove Road, Hendersonville, NC. Graveside services will be held at 2:30pm at Saluda City Cemetery, following the visitation. Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Pace to the ALS Association, 1275 K Street, NW Suite 250, Washington, DC 20005 or Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Street, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
