Wally J. Warner, 79, of Hendersonville, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Pardee Hospital following a brief illness. He was the son of the late Wallace and Stephany Wnorowski. Wally was born in Chicago, IL, but moved to Miami, FL to start his family. He began working in the garage door industry, and later moved to Windemere, FL to become co-owner in Roll-Lite Overhead Doors for 15 years before retiring in 1989. He has been a resident Hendersonville for the past 10 years.
Wally was an active member of Mud Creek Baptist Church as well as the Hendersonville Antique Car Club.
He had a very strong faith in Christ and loved to share that faith with others. He was an extremely generous person who was always willing to help someone in need. Wally had a deep passion for boating and fishing. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time on the water. He loved his classic cars and enjoyed camping, especially in his later years. Wally loved his family beyond measure and always cherished the time he was able to spend with them.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 57 years, Carol Warner; daughter, Allyson Roberts and her husband Jim of Eustis, FL; son, Dr. Craig Warner and his wife Sheila of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Darlene Pavlas and her husband Damon of Fletcher, NC; grandchildren, Megan McFalls and her husband Tim, Corrie, Kris, Kaitlyn and Casey Roberts, and Jake and Zach Warner; nephews, Jim Notaro and Don Grace.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Mud Creek Baptist Church. Reverend Chris Hefner will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mud Creek Baptist Church with Hope Academy in the memo line. 403 Rutledge Dr. Hendersonville, NC 28739.
