Ruby Lee Case, 80, of Flat Rock, went home to be with the Lord May 7, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilkie and Ethel Osteen Lockaby; her husband of 50 years, Henry Case, and two sons, Phillip and Tim Case.
Ruby was a talented gardener who could grow anything. She was an avid reader of biographies, nonfiction, and her Bible. A lover of music, she especially liked Elvis. Ruby appreciated nature, and she was happiest when outdoors. Being with her family was her greatest joy. Ruby loved time spent making bird and flower scrapbooks with her great granddaughter. She was an amazing and generous woman who will be forever missed.
She is survived by two sons, Larry and Michael Case, daughter Barbara Heath, thirteen beloved grandchildren, and many great grandchildren; a brother Larry Lockaby; two sisters, Joanne Shultz and Jenny Mull.
A funeral will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home on Tracy Grove Road Hendersonville, NC. Entombment will be private.

I'm first cousin to Ruby. My Dad was Rafe Lockaby. I am so sorry to hear of Ruby's death. I would have liked to know her. Much love to the family.
