Robert “BeBo” James Duncan, 77, of Hendersonville went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Pardee Hospital. A native of Connecticut, Robert was the son of the late Duncan M. and Isabella Duncan, and was also preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Staton.
A resident of Henderson County for more than sixty years, Robert worked at Normac, Inc. until his retirement in 2006. He was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church and sang in the choir. Robert enjoyed fishing, camping and woodworking. He cherished his time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Margaret Drake Duncan; sons, Robert Wayne Drake (Tammie) and Darryl Steven Drake (Kerris); daughter, Audrey Drake Cooper (Jimmy); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
A Memorial Service will be held at Mud Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Greg Mathis officiating, tentatively scheduled for Sunday January 31st at 1pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Carpenter’s Hands Ministry c/o Mud Creek Baptist Church, 403 Rutledge Dr., Hendersonville, NC 28739.
