Ralph J. Hathaway went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 26, 2018. He was born September 10, 1935 in Tarrytown, NY to the late Olive and Ralph J. Hathaway, Sr. and lived in the village until he moved to Hendersonville in July of 1999.
Ralph served in the Armored Division as a tank driver and was stationed in Fort Benning, GA from 1958-1961. He was hired by AT&T in 1961 and retired there in 1999. He was an active member of the Second Reformed Church in Tarrytown, served as a deacon, and volunteered for many years as a leader of Boy Scout Troup 22. He joined the Elks Club and First Baptist Church in Hendersonville.
Ralph is survived by his wife of sixty years, Barbara Shelley Hathaway and four children, Thomas and Laura Hathaway of Concord, CA, Jacqueline and Lawrence Hara of Hendersonville, Sandra and Raymond Henshaw of Ossining, NY and Cynthia Hathaway of New Fairfield, CT; nine grandchildren, Michael and Ryan Hathaway, Matthew, Michael and Katie Hara, Megan and Jack Henshaw, and Luke and Jillian Giaquinto.
