Phyllis Ray Nelsen, 87, of Hendersonville left this earthly life on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Brian Center following and extended illness. A native of California, she lived in Winnsboro, SC for 14 years and has lived in Henderson County for the past 15 years. She was the daughter of the late Ray and Grace Livingston and was also preceded in death by her brother, Tom Livingston.
Phyllis worked as an apartment manager and prior to that had worked in the food industry. She was of the Christian faith, and she loved her cat, Callie dearly. She was an accomplished knitter, crocheter and was a great stand-up bass player with a natural talent for music. Phyllis was a huge fan of coffee and could be found drinking it from morning til night every day. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was very proud of all of them.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Faga (Frank), Bert Douglas, Kenneth Douglas and Melanie Douglas; grandchildren, Jeremy Maestro (Natalie) and Theresa Seeber; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Maestro, Jr, Jillian Maestro, Daniel Seeber, Carlene Seeber, Lewis Seeber and Hurshel Seeber; nephew, Tom Livingston, Jr.; nieces, Kit, Kim and Kelly Livingston.
