Phyllis B. Capps, 71, of Saluda, NC died unexpectedly at her residence early Wednesday morning, September 4, 2019 with her family near her side.

Mrs. Capps was born on Tuesday, March 16, 1948 in Henderson County to the late Samuel Lawson and Florence (Metcalf) Bradley.  On December 29, 1967 in Greenville, SC as the former Phyllis Bradley, she married her loving husband of 51 years, Mr. Rondall Lee Capps.

Mrs. Capps was a lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church in Saluda and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two sons, Rondall Lee Capps, II and his wife Dana of Zirconia, NC, and Virgil Paul Capps and his wife Karen of Pickens, SC; two grandchildren, Kayla Capps of Hendersonville, NC and VJ Capps of Henderson County. Also surviving is her sister, Kay Bradley of Henderson County.

Funeral Services to celebrate Mrs. Capps’ life will be held two o’clock Friday afternoon, September 6, 2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, 538 Tracy Grove Road, Hendersonville, NC with Rev. Tony Reese officiating.  The family will receive guests two hours prior to the service in chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel.  She will be laid to rest in the Beddingfield Cemetery in Saluda.

Memorial contributions may be offered in memory of Mrs. Capps to Friendship Baptist Church, 279 Friendship Church Road, Saluda, NC 28773.

Phyllis will be forever missed by her loving and devoted family and many dear friends.
