Peggy Cantini Taylor, 88, passed peacefully from death unto life on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Pardee Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Humbert J. and Edith Ballard Cantini and the loving wife for 62 years of Ernest Taylor, who died in 2011. She was a caregiver for her mother, her sister, Sara Searcy, and her brother, H. John Cantini Jr. before their deaths.
Peggy was employed for 32 years as office manager and medical assistant for Dr. Samuel Falvo. Her great joy in life was her ministry as a church organist and pianist. She played those instruments at the Hendersonville First Church of the Nazarene, where she was a charter member, and the Hendersonville Nazarene Camp Meeting for more than 50 years. She then played for services at Bethel Wesleyan Church and New Hope in Christ Church for several years thereafter. A building at the Hendersonville Nazarene Campground was named in honor of Ernest and Peggy for their years of faithful service to the Camp Meeting.
Peggy deeply loved her Lord, her family, and a multitude of friends. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Kendall (Jo Ann) and Dennis (Carol), both of Hendersonville; granddaughters, Renee Moon (Stan) of Boiling Springs, SC, Kristina Nelson (Wayne) of Troy, VA, and Monica Howard (Josh) of Zirconia, NC. She was blessed with two great grandsons, Evan and Noah Feemster of Boiling Springs, SC, as well as a nephew, Ron Searcy of Etowah; and a niece, Teri Cantini Ervi of Louisa, VA.
A celebration of Peggy’s homegoing well be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 6, 2020 at the Hendersonville First Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Harry Widener, Pastor Tom Smith, and Pastor William Oxendine will bring words of comfort and encouragement, recalling a life of praise and service. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Peggy’s memory to: Hendersonville Nazarene Camp, 33 Nazarene Drive, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

Peggy was so much fun! What a wonderful, warm person. I spent my teen years “assisting” her in my dad’s office and she was always kind and patient with me. I enjoyed her company so much. Our sincere condolences to her family.
