I met Ms. Mildred at the Cancer Center at Park Ridge. I know that this place was not the best setting for new relationship but God knew that we would hit it off. I fell in love with Ms. Mildred in just a few meetings. She always had a positive outlook and loved peppermints. We would pick out hats together and I always loved talking to her. We discovered that her Brother, Bud Case, was my uncle by marriage. How cool was that? I have gained to utmost respect for Brian who never left her side. He helped us in the Cancer Center to pass out lunches to our patients and he always had a smile on his face. He was very protective over "Momma" and what an example he has set for his peers. I dare say not too many sons would carry their moms when they were not able to walk. Brian did and never once minded. WOW!! What an experience I have witnessed with Ms. Mildred and Brian and the family. I will miss her dearly.

It seems like I've known Millie my whole life. She's worked w/my Dad at Hayes and Lunsford as long as I can remember. A couple of years ago I got to know her much better when I started working w/her at Hayes and Lunsford. She was a true friend I could talk to about anything from our love of Jesus Christ to our love of our children. She would always tell you the truth, even if you didn't want to hear it at the time! My nickname here is "Mini-Millie" and I will wear it with pride for the rest of my life. Thank you Millie!

The loss of Millie will be felt for a long time here at Hayes and Lunsford. She had such a big heart and personality. When I would talk to her she always took the time to ask how I was and share a laugh. She was more than a co-worker, she was a friend.

Mimi was always there for me. When i had problems, Mimi always tried to help in anyway she could. When i was little i used to stay the night with her and we would stay up until 3 A.M. watching movies together. That's how i earned the title "Mimi's Bed Feller". Mimi loved us all. I lived with her for the last year she was with us, It was the best time of my life. Looking back now, I took so much for granted, I wanted a different outcome of things. Now that i have it, I want it to go back the way it was. But that's not how things work. When we found out Mimi first might have cancer, She was the only one that stayed positive. When we found out she did, Again, She was the only one that didn't initially loose it. Because of her we stayed strong. Just like always. My grandmother was a strong woman, until her last days. Even though I only had the opportunity to meet Millie in recent years, she always bore that infectious smile that greeted me whenever I entered the front office at Hayes & Lunsford. My sympathy goes out to the family during this time, and please know that you all will remain in our thoughts and our prayers during the coming days as we all learn to adapt to life containing a void left by Millie. I pray that God will prove to be the inspiration and perspective you may need in the days ahead.

What a sad day it was yesterday when we heard that our friend Millie had left us. Millie will suffer with no more pain now. She was a great and wonderful friend and i will miss her so much. Brian thank you so much for being there for your mother. What a great son you are. Rest in peace Millie I will never forget all the good times and all the shopping we done. My heart breaks this morning but I know you are in a better place. I will never forget you my friend.

Millie was like a member of our family at Hayes & Lunsford and we will all miss her terribly. Millie and I shared many talks about our boys and if there was ever a great mom, it was Millie. She was always there, ready to help and she loved with all her heart. Brian, you have been a great son to your mama and she was very proud of you. I am so happy that she had you as you made her last few months brighter. Shane, you were very special to your mama and she never gave up on you because she saw nothing but good. H&L will never be the same without our Millie and she will always remain in our hearts.

As an employee of Cherokee Electrical, Inc., I had the pleasure of working with Millie over the past two years when she came to our office in Cherokee. We shared many lunches together, and she tried several different cultural foods with me, especially enjoying our fry-bread and chilli. Mille was a great part of our Hayes & Lunsford organization and she will be truly missed. Her candid humor that generally started our days would always bring out a smile.
