Maude Lee Beddingfield Harris, a native and lifelong resident of Tuxedo, NC reunited with her loving husband, Jack, in Heaven on January 26, 2021. She passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Assisted Living. She spent her life cherishing and caring for her family. She loved to reminiscence and share treasured stories of days gone by. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and had an extraordinary gift for needlework and crotchet. Maude was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Maude was preceded in death by her husband Jack, mother, Leila Inez Capps; father, Lemual Irvin Beddingfield; seven brothers and four sisters. She is survived by three children, Bruce Harris (wife Nyoka), Ila McKinney (husband Ray) and Doran Harris (wife Charlene). Also surviving are four grandchildren; Scott McKinney, Angela Harris Ownbey, Karen Harris Allan and Jeffrey Harris; two great-grandchildren Morgan Broome and Erin Broome; one great-great-grandchild Brinley Broome.
A private family service was held at Tuxedo First Baptist Cemetery on January 30, 2021. The Reverend Mike Bennett officiated.
