Mattie Anderson Robertson, 87, of Hendersonville, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at the Elizabeth House. A native of Edgefield, SC, she was a daughter of the late O.B. and Lora Waldrep Anderson. A graduate of Lander College in Greenwood, SC, she pursued a career in teaching. She had also served in the U.S. Army. Following retirement, she moved to Henderson County, NC where she had lived for over 30 years. She was an avid bridge player who loved to travel. Her husband, William Dewitt Robertson, died in 2008.

Mrs. Robertson is survived by her 6 nephews, George Goldsmith of Columbia, SC, Ben Goldsmith of Jacksonville, FL, Joe Anderson, Jr. of Columbia, SC, Ben Anderson of Greenville, SC, Greg Anderson of Edgefield, SC and Jeff Anderson of Lexington, SC and her niece, Katherine Moore of Atlanta, GA.

A Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday May 22nd in the Chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
