Marvin Eugene Edney, 61, of Hendersonville, passed away Friday, March 13, 2009.
A native of Henderson County, he was the son of the late Claude and MaryLou Moore Edney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Edney.
He was a graduate of West Henderson High School and was employed with Kimberley-Clark in the maintenance department for nearly thirty two years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Kathleen Robida Edney; two daughters, Kristen and Kayla Edney of Hendersonville; a brother, Robert Edney of Saluda; a sister Marilyn Cox and her husband Sam of Hendersonville; an uncle, Tom Moore and his wife Beulah of Mills River; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday in the chapel at Forest Lawn Mortuary. Reverends Sam Cox, Wayne Sloop and Jason Davis will officiate. Entombment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
