Lula Marie Burns, 78, of Hendersonville, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Elizabeth House. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lula Walker Stepp. Six brothers and sisters also preceded her in death. She was employed by CTS for twenty-two years, and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Adger C. Burns; a son, Carl Burns and his wife Joan of Hendersonville; two daughters, Janet Hill and her husband Mike of Hendersonville, Sharon Dalton and her husband Roy of Hendersonville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11:00 am Monday at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Revs. Harold McKinnish and Ron Foucek will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service at the church.
