Louise A. Harwood Ollis, 95, of Fariveiw went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 8, 2021. She was the daughter of Sally Huntsinger Harwood and the late Augustus Harwood; and was also preceded in death by son, Eddie Eugene Wright; daughter, Joyce Jane Latta; a brother and four sisters.
A lifelong native of Buncombe county, Louise had attended Barnardsville Elementary School. She had spent her employment as a textile worker. Louise’s family thought of her as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose home-cooked meals will be greatly missed. Louise was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church of Fletcher.
Left to cherish Louise’s memory are her children; son, Jackson Wright of Asheville; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Elkins of Henderson County and Peggy Jean Luther (Homer) of Fletcher; son-in-law Donald Latta; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to, numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
A private family graveside will be held at 2pm Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 538 Tracy Grove Road, Hendersonville, NC. Rev. Billy R. Balcom will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions can be made to New Beginning Baptist Church Food Ministry, 29 Marlowe Drive, Mills River, NC, 29759.
