Joyce Roper Frazier, 64, of Mills River, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Elizabeth House following a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Louis Otto and Helen Young Roper, and the wife of the late Charles Ludy Frazier who died in 1991. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Roper. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and member of Mills River United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Amy Pierce and her husband James of Mills River; a son, Scott Frazier and his wife Lisa of Mills River; two granddaughters, Chelsea and Hannah Frazier of Mills River; a brother, Larry Roper and his wife JoAnn of Flat Rock; mother-in-law, Margie Frazier of Flat Rock; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

Larry, JoAnn and Family, I was so sorry to learn of Joy's Homegoing. I know you will miss her so much, but I also know you take comfort in knowing that her pain and suffering are over and that she is now at Home with the Lord!
