Joseph Pommersheim

July 11, 1915 - September 13, 2009

Joseph Andrew Pommersheim, 94, of Hendersonville, died on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at the Elizabeth House.

He was born in Erie County, PA and was a 1941 engineering graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He served his country from 1941-1945 in the U.S. Army during WWII. He retired in 1980 after 30 years of service at Rockwell International. A brother, John M. Pommersheim preceded in death.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia Boylan Pommersheim; two sons, Robert of Hendersonville and John of Norwalk, OH; a grandson, Mark A. Stine of Marysville, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

No local service is planned. Memorials can be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life 571 S. Allen Road Flat Rock, NC 28731.
