John McFall

April 4, 1932 - November 10, 2015

John McFall, 83, of Fletcher went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Charles George VA Medical Center after an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, John was a son of the late Ben and Jeannie Allison McFalls. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, J.B., Ruben, Ervin, and Ben McFalls; and three sisters, Margaret Reddick, Ruth Whitaker, and Betty McFalls.
John worked as a driver for Associated Petroleum Carriers and also worked with Steelcase. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Horse Shoe. John was an Army veteran serving in Korea during the war.
Survivors include six children, Jane Clayton and her husband Donald, Johnny, Jimmy, and Randy McFalls, Patricia Spencer, and Susan Holbert, all of Henderson County; two brothers, Curtis McFalls of Mills River, Bill McFalls of Fletcher; a sister, Clota McFalls of Fletcher; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be at 2:00 pm Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Tommy Hart officiating.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Pardee Hospital, the VA Medical Center Hospice, and the VA Foster Home Program.
