Janice J. Bishop, 76, of Mills River, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 20, 2020. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Wells H. and Freida R. Justus.
She was a devoted, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Martin Bishop, of Mills River, and two children, Mark Bishop (Beth) of St. Petersburg, FL, and Becky Youngblood (John) of Fletcher; four grandchildren, Matthew Bishop (Megan) of Hendersonville, Ashlea Bishop of St. Petersburg, FL, Justin Youngblood and Mandolyn Metheny (Dale) both of Fletcher and two great-grandchildren, Marshall, and Mason Bishop of Hendersonville. She is also survived by two brothers, Arnold Ray, and J.L Justus, both of Hendersonville, and one sister, Kay Justus of Albany, GA., along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at two o’clock on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Roy Waldroup officiating.
The family will be at the home of the daughter in the Hoopers Creek area of Fletcher.
Flowers welcome or donations can be made to Four Seasons Hospice in Hendersonville, NC. The family would like to thank Four Seasons Hospice for all the love and support they have shown over these last several months.
