James L. "Jim" Myles, Jr.

July 25, 1939 - August 7, 2018

James L. “Jim” Myles, Jr., 79, of Hendersonville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.

A lifelong resident of Henderson County, he was a son of the late James Lester and Louise Sinclair Myles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Myles.

Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and spent most of his life working as a licensed electrician. He was a longtime member of East Flat Rock First Baptist Church, as well as a past member of the Masonic Lodge and Hendersonville Lions Club. In his free time, he loved to fish, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Kathy Myles; daughter, Lisa Beddingfield (Shane); grandsons, Austin Fisher and Austin Beddingfield; and many other special family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday, August 12 at East Flat Rock First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Neelands and Rev. Blair Stewart officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 6-8 PM Saturday. At other times, they will be at the home of Jim and Kathy.
