James C. ìRedî Peace, 91, of Hendersonville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, December 14, 2013.
He was a native of Henderson County and a son of the late Andrew and Ida Capps Peace. He was also preceded in death by his wife LorieîMarieî Kirkpatrick Peace; great-nephews, Eric and Matthew Mahaffey; three sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Peace served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was employed by and retired from Kimberly Clark. He was a member of Hoopers Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his three caregiving nieces, Diane Mahaffey and husband Donnie, and their children, Michael Mahaffey and wife Jessica, Lyndsay and Elysabeth Mahaffey, Debbie Garren and husband David, and son, Chandler Garren, Patricia Brown and husband Steven; brother-in-law Roy Kirkpatrick and wife Carol; sister-in-law Nola Franklin and husband Lewis; other nieces and nephews include Cleo Rogers and husband John, Wayne Davis and wife Lois, Melinda Davis, Sherrill Peace, Kelly Kirkpatrick, and many more nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Monday, December 16, 2013 at Hoopers Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Youngblood officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Lewis and Nola Franklin, Hoopers Creek Rd, Fletcher.

I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Collie was my Dad's Uncle. My Dad was Carl Peace son of Neil and Kathleen Peace. I and my kids thought the world of Uncle Collie. I know he will be missed dearly. The world lost a great man.
