Jacqualine Ann "Jacquaie" Ponder

December 28, 1985 - November 12, 2018

Jacqualine Ann Ponder, 32, of Hendersonville, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Monday, November 12, 2018, at Pardee Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Hendersonville, she was the daughter of William Harlan Ponder and Sheryl Caldwell. Jacquaie graduated from Blue Ridge Community College’s G.E.D. program.

She was of the Seventh-Day Adventist faith, and worked as a med tech in the nursing profession, specializing in end of life care. Jacquaie was very artistic and good with crafts, especially when it came to making jewelry. She enjoyed being in nature and taking rides on the Parkway. She loved people and was always sweet and helpful. Her smile would always light up a room. She had a very special bond with her family, especially her brothers, Jason and William.

She is survived by her mom, Sheryl Caldwell and her husband, David; father, William Harlan Ponder and his wife, Jody; brothers, Jason Ponder, William Ponder and his wife, Shannon, and James Smith; sister, Jessica Smith; step-brother, Brayden Ponder; step-sisters, Erica Fowler, Cecilia Caldwell and Madison Ponder; aunts, Shirley Goodrich and her husband, Dan, and Gail Ponder; uncles, Philip Morton III and his wife, Julie, and Gary Ponder; grandmothers, Linda Morton and Doris “Ann” Ponder; and five cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, November 19, 2018, at Upward Seventh-Day Adventist Church with Pastor Charles Ferguson officiating.
