Irma Mae Guice Garren, 90, of Flat Rock went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
A native and life-long resident of Henderson County, she was a daughter of the late William M. and Fannie Belle Guice. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Odell Garren in 2007.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a life-long caregiver to her family whom she dearly loved.
She is survived by two sons, William Max Garren and his wife Maryanne of Hendersonville and Thomas Alton Garren and his wife Daphne of Cary, NC; two granddaughters of whom she was extremely proud, Maryanne ìMinnieî I. Garren of Lexington, NC and Theresa Garren-Grubbs and her husband Kyle of Ames, Iowa.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation, Four Seasons Hospice and to all who cared for her.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Reverend Debra Gaddy will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
