*Homer H. ìMikeî Haynes, Jr., 86, *of Hendersonville passes away peacefully Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Life Care Center of Hendersonville following a short illness. Born in Clifton Forge,VA, he was a son of the late Homer and Virginia Martin Haynes. He was also the husband of the late Elva C. Haynes, his beloved wife of sixty-one years, who died January 28, 2010. He was a salesman with Pennzoil for thirty-six years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Pinecrest Presbyterian Church. An Army veteran of WWII, he was also a member of the Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post #77, and the Hedrick-Rhodes VFW Post # 5206.

Survivors include a sister, Sarah Morgan and her husband Del of Second Creek, WV; a nephew, Jerry McDowell and his wife Judy of Cape Girardeau, MO.

A memorial service will be at 10:00am Friday, August 12, 2011 at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church. Revs. Anthony Ward and Doug Jones will officiate.

Military Rites will be conducted by Hubert M. Smith American Legion Post # 77, Hedrick-Rhodes VFW Post 3 5206, and DAV Chapter 14. Inurnment will be private at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
