Holden “Bud” Taylor Paulhamus III, 79, of Hendersonville gathered his wings and took his heavenly flight on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Life Care Center of Hendersonville following a period of declining health. A native of Pennsylvania, he had resided in Henderson County for the past 34 years. He was a son of the late Holden Taylor Paulhamus II and Sara Miller Paulhamus.
Bud proudly served in the Pennsylvania National Guard and was a longtime employee of Lewis Williams Hardware. He was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church and sang in many gospel and barbershop quartets over the years, as he had a deep love for singing. He always enjoyed watching his beloved Braves during baseball season and the Carolina Tar Heels during basketball season. He loved his family greatly and cherished spending time with them.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Eileen Paulhamus; son, Rob Paulhamus; daughter, Vikki Watson and her husband, Chuck; grandchildren, Susannah Lee Paulhamus and John Michael Paulhamus; sisters, Polly Holmes, Sally Doran and Betty Nelson; brother, Joe Paulhamus and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Mud Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Greg Mathis officiating. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service from 10-11 am at the church.
