Henry Eli "Jack" Shew

Henry Eli “Jack” Shew, 76, of Hendersonville passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Elizabeth House after an extended illness. A native of Caldwell County, Jack lived in Wilkes County forty years before moving to Henderson County in 2007. He was a son of the late Mansfield and Hattie Bell Shew, and was also preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters. Jack retired from Valspar Paint and Wood Finishing and was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Rainnie Triplett Shew; two daughters, April Shew Fender and her husband Scott of Asheville, Andrea Shew of Fletcher; a grandson, Jesse Eli Fender of Asheville; a brother, Jones Shew and his wife Barbara of Lenoir; a sister, Faye Woods of Lenoir; and a number of nieces and nephews.
No services are planned. Friends are welcome to visit at the home.
