Glen Spurgeon Lindsey, 82, of Tuxedo, NC, died at his home on Friday, April 16, 2021.
Glen, also known as “Spider,” was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County.  He was the son of the late Harvey and Lavada Mullinax Lindsey.  Glen is also preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Lindsey Nix and Virginia Lindsey Shipman Morgan.
He is a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Tuxedo First Baptist Church.  Glen worked for DuPont as a Senior Process Operator and retired after 34 years.  He was also a member of the Senior Softball League of Henderson County, an instrumental member of the Green River Community Association, and a former member of the Green River Volunteer Fire Department.
Glen is survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Thelma Eugenia “Jeannie” Taylor Lindsey; two children, Bradford Glen Lindsey (Christa) of Tallahassee, FL and Glenda Lindsey White (Brad “Bo”) of Fleming Island, FL; three grandchildren, Nicholas White (Brenna), Brady Glen White, and Taylor White; two great-grandchildren, Maverick and Knox White; a brother, Harvey John “H. J.” Lindsey (Patricia); a close first cousin, Myrtis Capps; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Mikell Bennett officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Forest Lawn Chapel one hour prior to the service (1:00 PM).
