She was a member of Refuge Baptist Church and served there as a Church Secretary/Recorder and volunteered on the Social Committee.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 6, 2012 in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with the Revs. Dan Martin and Debra Gaddy officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm prior to service.

Evelyn will especially be remembered for her care giving of others. She spent her life taking care of those she loved, especially in their final months. Her family was blessed to be able to keep her home and do the same. Evelyn’s two sons and three grandsons were the “apple-of-her eyes”. She couldn’t do enough for them. She was always there to baby sit stay through concerts and games, hem pants, and cook her famous macaroni and cheese for Sunday dinners. Our appreciation goes out to Beth and Carosn of Care Parents Home Health Services, and Allison of Palliative Care. Her final days were lovingly handled by Four Season’s Hospice Care in her home.
