February 2, 1919 - January 19, 2019

Emily M. Eason Leake, 99, of Hendersonville, passed peacefully into heaven on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Elizabeth House. She would have been 100 on February 2.

She was the daughter of the late Munford and Catherine Conway Eason. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Katherine Eason and her grandson, Russell Trice. Originally a native of Norfolk, VA, she previously lived in Miami, FL before moving to Henderson County in the early 1980’s.

Emily lived life to the fullest with faith in God and a deep love for her family. She was a welder on the Liberty Ship during WWII. She had the privilege of traveling the world with her sister. She also enjoyed serving in her community as a “Pink Lady” at Pardee Hospital.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Charles Trice; her devoted daughter, Dianne Trice; her sister, Selma Beckham; granddaughters, Redonna Trice and her significant other, Jeff, and Traci King and her husband, Doug; great-grandchildren, Emili and Matthew King and Morgan Hill.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the park.
