Earl Clyde Jones

June 12, 1952 - April 23, 2022

Earl Clyde Jones, 69, of Hendersonville went to his Lord Saturday morning, April 23, 2022, following a heroic battle with a lengthy illness.

A lifelong native of Henderson County, Earl was born to the late Clyde and Lucille (Talley) Jones; he is also reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife Jewel Ann Jones and loving brother Roy Jones.

Since 1977 Earl was a devoted member of the Edneyville Fire and Rescue Service; prior Earl was a fellow firefighter at the Blue Ridge Fire Department. He had honorably served our community and held various positions from firefighter to chief. He loved spending time with his grandchildren more than anything. Earl was a member of In Jesus Name Baptist Church.

Earl was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Anthony (April) Jones and Travis (Whitney) Jones; grandchildren Eli and Hazel Jones; sisters Sara (Jay) Gardner, Brenda Hensley, and Rita (Dennis) Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Edneyville with Rev. Richard Gardner officiating; a visitation will be held starting at 11 am.  A processional to Forest Lawn Memorial Park of Hendersonville to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family will appreciate donations to Edneyville Fire and Rescue in his name.

Arrangements are in the care of Forest Lawn Funeral Home of Hendersonville, NC.
