Dorothy M. Rhodes

July 22, 1931 - December 8, 2020

Dorothy M. Rhodes, 89, of Hendersonville, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.  She was born in Hendersonville to the late Zeb and Edith Sexton Stepp, and was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Rev. Willard E. Rhodes; daughter, Jan Gravely; and son-in-law, Travis Lively.

Mom, you are finally Free from all the earthly afflictions that affected your health.  You have been such a testimony to your Faith and an inspiration to all.  We know that you are Rejoicing in Heaven, surrounded by loved ones who have been waiting for your arrival!  Most importantly, we know you are Thanking Jesus for all the many answered prayers, for making a way when there was no way and watching over all of us.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Annette Lively of East Flat Rock, Lorie and Rick Henderson of Dana, and JR and Teresa Rhodes of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Heth Lively, Angelique McMurray, Autum Henderson, Jerred Henderson and Joseph Gravely; and great-grandchildren, Landen McMurray, Josie Lively, Victoria Henderson and McKenna and Kade Gravely.

You are finally Home and Worshipping the One that created you for that very purpose.  While you will be missed, we know that you are right where you have longed to be.  You have shown us the One Way and taught us about the One who loves us most.  We all thank you for that and because of your legacy, we will see you again soon.

A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
