Donald Lynn Baldwin

Donald Baldwin, 74, of Hendersonville went to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Elizabeth House. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, Donald was a son of the late Ernest and Ida Lewis Baldwin, and the husband of the late Brenda Morrison Baldwin who died in 2011.

He was employed by Cranston Printworks for thirty-two years, and worked at Glenn Marlow Elementary School for five years. Donald attended Tracy Grove Baptist Church and Bald Mountain Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Miranda Nix and her husband Chuck, Amanda Slagle and her husband Dennis, Candace Raines and her husband Junior, all of Hendersonville; five grandchildren, Lindsey Cantrell and her husband Johnny, Codie, Breanna and Emily Slagle, and Brandon Raines, all of Hendersonville; a sister, Betty Taylor and her husband George of Hendersonville; three brothers, Tommy Baldwin and his wife Barbara of Hendersonville, Sam Baldwin and his wife Belinda of Sevierville, TN, Michael Baldwin and his wife Sherri of Memphis, TN; many loved nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Eddie Gilliland and his wife Shelia of Fletcher.

A funeral will be at 3:00 pm Friday in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Garren officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 pm in the chapel prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
