Diana Lee Ammons Dodgens, 76, of Hendersonville changed her address to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born in Kentucky, raised in Jackson County, NC and has lived in Henderson County for the past 31 years. Diana was a daughter of the late Albert and Madeline Ammons. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Chester Ammons and sister, Myrtle Eugene Ammons.

Diana was of the Baptist faith and had worked in the Lane wing of Pardee Hospital for 20+ years prior to retiring. She loved her family dearly and cherished every moment spent with them. Her joys in life were reading, puzzles, bowling and going on picnics.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Eddie Dodgens; children, Donna Henderson, Ricky Stewart (Debbie) and Martha Gifford; grandchildren, Brandi Warner, Chelsea Jones, Justin Stewart, Emily King, Russell Stewart, Dakota Gifford, Kayla Stewart, Michelle Gifford and Tyler Gifford; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Isaiah, Zakia, Brayden, Eli, Garrett, Koda, Lacey, Carter, CJ, Chapel and Gabe; sisters, Shirley Branham and Loretta Pittinger; brother, John Ammons and numerous nieces and nephews

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Eddie Conard and Pastor Tommy Hart officiating. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 1-2pm.
