Mrs. Cassie Louise Williams Stepp, 86, of Hendersonville, went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2020 at her home, following a long illness. She was born in 1933 to Amos and Pamie Williams. She had eight brothers and sisters. Cassie grew up on Point Look Out in Edneyville, NC, where she graduated from Edneyville High School. She married James Loughran Stepp from Dana, NC in 1953. Together they had one daughter, Leshea Stepp Ward. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, her sisters, Linda Williams, Elsie Williams Wilson, and brothers, Earl Williams, and Charles Williams.

Cassie is survived by her daughter, Leshea Stepp Ward and her husband Edgar, and two grandchildren, Jason and Andrea Ward. She is survived by her sisters, Joyce Williams Anders, Christine Williams Jackson, LulaBelle Williams Capps, and her brother Wayne Williams.

As a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, she served as a deacon’s wife for over 45 years. She was known for her wonderful cooking including her specialty cakes. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She was always thinking of ways she could help us and others.

The family would like to thank Zion Hill Baptist Church for caring for us and for their meal ministry, also Four Seasons Palliative Care, and Four Seasons Hospice, and her precious care giver Anita Hernandez.
A funeral service to celebrate her life is planned for Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, with Phillip Capell and Blair Stewart officiating. The Hills will provide the music.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 16, Zirconia, NC 28790, or to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
