Barbara Faison Earle, 85, of Hendersonville, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 10, 1918 surrounded by her family. Barbara was born in Brantley, AL in 1933 and was a resident of Hendersonville, NC since 2008. She moved from Florida with her husband James E. Earle Sr., who passed away on June 21, 2016. Prior to their move to NC, they lived in Lake City, FL after their retirement.

Barbara was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mamie Faison and sister of the late Wylene Faison. She was preceded in death by granddaughters Melissa Earle and Kaitlyn Brice. She is survived by five children: One daughter, Arlie Brice of Phoenix, AZ, and four sons; James E. Earle, Jr. and his wife Carol of Cherokee, AL, William T. Earle and his wife Sharon of Palm Harbor, FL, David B. Earle and his wife Laura of Hendersonville, NC, and Michael W. Earle and his wife Caroline of Mills River, NC. Barbara is also loved by her 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Barbara was well loved by many people throughout her life. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed participating in the Methodist Women events. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, and baking for her friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10:30 am Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Moore’s Grove United Methodist Church, Hendersonville, with Pastor Deb Demorest officiating. A bus will run to The Bridge at Lake Pointe Landing and Brookdale for those residents who wish to attend. The family will receive guests at the church prior to the service. Refreshments in the fellowship hall will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to Moore’s Grove United Methodist Church, 2575 Chimney Rock Rd. Hendersonville, NC 28792.
