Barbara F. Baldwin, 78 of Flat Rock, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 5, 2019. A native of East Flat Rock, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Madge Fisher. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lula May and her husband, Jack Ward, Lois and husband Clarence Thompson, Ann and husband Clarence Walker, Dorothy Marshall; brothers, Lewis and wife Bell, and Edward Fisher.
Barbara was secretary to the owner of Peerless Mattress for six years, secretary to the manager of Industrial Savings and Loan and finished her career as a legal secretary. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lexington for 32 years, where she was Children’s Sunday School Teacher and she also sang in the choir.
She was a wonderful lady that loved everyone, a marvelous baker and dearly loved cooking for her friends, especially for Mark White.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Lloyd (Tommy) Baldwin; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A service will be at 2pm Thursday, May 9, 2019 in the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Compassion for Life, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28726.
