Audrey “Elfrida” Jones, 80, of Hendersonville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at the Elizabeth House. She was born in Henderson county to the late Clarence Gale Wilkie and Doniva Dalton Wilkie, and is also preceded in death by son, Eugene Albert Jones; sister, Barbara Gosnell; brother, Bruce Wilkie; sister-in-law, Patricia Wilkie and granddaughter, Chloe Madison Pettit.

To her friends and family, she was known as Elfrida. She had attended Etowah High School; Elfrida was a homemaker and took pride in acting as a babysitter for her family, friends, and the community. Elfrida referred to Mountain View Missionary Baptist Church as her home. Gardening, working in her flower beds, spending time with her family and reading her bible were amongst her favorite activities.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of sixty-two years, Dono Jones; daughter Audrey Pettit (James Pettit, Jr) of Hendersonville; son Stanley Jones (Stella) of Dana; sisters Virginia Jones (Calvin) and Wanda Hunt; brothers Doug Wilkie (Patricia -deceased) and Edward Wilkie (Lorene); grandchildren, Shelley Anders (Jesse), Stacey Aytes (Jeff) and Nathan Jones (Melissa) and great-grandchildren, Auston, Lainee, Sterling, Skyler, Levi, and Lexi.

A visitation will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Shuler Funeral Home. A graveside service will be the following day in Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Tony Halford officiating at 1pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
