Life Legacy
Christopher John Harrington, 45, of Hendersonville, died Friday, August 5, at Mission Hospital. Surviving is his beloved wife of 26 years, Cindy Harrington; his son, Kyle Robert Harrington of Flat Rock; his parents, Priscilla Cody Harrington and Robert Harrington, Sr. of Fort Perce, FL; his brother and sister in-law, Robert Harrington, Jr. and Marcy Harrington of Pleasant Valley, NY, and their children, Gwenyth and Wesley; and his paternal grandmother, Priscilla Cody of Fort Pierce, FL. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
He was born in Cold Spring, NY and had lived in Highland, NY prior to moving to Hendersonville six years ago. A skilled entrepreneur, he had worked as a mason for many years, had also worked as a computer programmer and was currently a machinist for Highland Tool and Gauge in Mills River. An avid outdoorsman, he had been involved in scouting for many years during his youth and still loved camping. He was also an accomplished woodworker, taking after his grandfather, Joseph Cody. He was of the Catholic faith.
A mass of the resurrection will be celebrated 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 10, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. John Salvas will officiate. The Rose’s ministry will host a reception in the St. Francis Hall of the church following the service. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm the evening of the visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, NC Affiliate, P.O. Box 2636, Chapel Hill NC 27515-2636.
