Irene McMillon Holland, 80, of Flat Rock, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Holland was born May 29, 1937 in Axton, VA to the late Alonza Thomas McMillon and Annie Kate McMillon.

Irene was married to Ralph Lewis Holland who preceded her in death October 19, 2005; she was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas McMillon, and sisters, Louise McMillon, Francis Gile and Thelma Nichols.

She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a beautiful soul to many.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Bullman and husband, Charlie, and Patricia Hyder; grandchildren, Allen Bullman, Dr. Christy Bullman, Jennifer Cooper and Michael Hyder; six great-grandchildren; sister, Iva Rene Phelps; several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

A funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Mason officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Donations in memory of Mrs. Holland may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
