Carroll Edwin Clark

October 21, 1923 - May 29, 2018

Carroll Edwin Clark, 94, of Hendersonville passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the Elizabeth House. Seventy-four years ago, on this very date, his bride-to-be, Clara Edith Rogers, who sadly passed away in February, took a bus to Conway, SC to make him the happiest man alive as they were joined together as husband and wife. This would have been their first anniversary apart, but instead, they joined together in eternity.

Carroll was born on October 21, 1923 to the late William Sevier and Ifie Justus Clark. He was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister and son-in-law. He made a career of selling Liberty Life Insurance for 36 years and loved interacting with people and sharing his love for Jesus.

He leaves behind four children: sons, Roger (Barbara) Clark of Hendersonville, Ronald (Becky) Clark of Huntersville, NC, daughters, Lynn Clark (Eddie Moses) of Hendersonville and Lucy Crawford of Hendersonville; nine grandsons, Dustin, Keally, Ian, Dru, Josh, Matthew, Seth, Jesse, and Cory; and nine great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children’s Homes of NC, PO Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27361.

Special thanks to Cory, his grandson, for providing strength and support to meet his grandfather’s needs.
